The aircraft owner or operator shall comply with Airworthiness Directives issued by the CAA or the aeronautics authority of the State of Design (SoD) of the aviation products, appliances and parts, and take all necessary actions thereto.

This applicability is established considering that the aircraft have not been subject to any replacement of the thrust reverser since delivery or AIRBUS SB A340-78-4031 embodiment. It is the responsibility of the operator to check that its aircraft is in compliance with the present Airworthiness Directive (AD)

This Airworthiness Directive (AD) does not affect aircraft modified by SB ATR42-55-0012 original issue or by SB ATR72-55-1004 original issue.
