The aircraft owner or operator shall comply with Airworthiness Directives issued by the CAA or the aeronautics authority of the State of Design (SoD) of the aviation products, appliances and parts, and take all necessary actions thereto.

Applicability: Airbus A330 aeroplanes, models -201, -202, -203, -223, -243, -301, -302, - 303, -321, -322, -323, -341, -342 and -343, all manufacturer serial numbers on which Airbus modification 49144 (install electrical rudder) has been embodied in production, except those on which Airbus modification 58118 and Airbus modification 200667 have been embodied in production and Airbus A340 aeroplanes, models -311, -312, and -313, all manufacturer serial numbers on which Airbus modification 49144 has been embodied in production, except those on which Airbus modification 58118 and Airbus modification 200667 have been embodied in production and Airbus A340 aeroplanes, models -541, -542, -642, -643, all manufacturer serial numbers, except those on which Airbus modification 200667 has been embodied in production.

Subject: Flight Controls – Flight Control Primary Computer (FCPC) – PRIM 3 Dispatch Restriction / Modification

Reference Publications (Revision/ATA/SB): ATA 27. This AD supersedes EASA AD 2009-0153(CAA-2009-07-008) dated 14 July 2009. Ref. Airbus A330 MMEL TR 01-27/04Z Issue 02 and Airbus A340 MMEL TR 01-27/05Z Issue 02. The use of any later EASA accepted revision of these MMEL TRs or of any general MMEL revision including this dispatch restriction is acceptable to comply with the requirements of this AD. Airbus SB A330-27-3161 at original issue and Airbus SB A330-27-3169 at original issue and Airbus SB A340-27-4160 at original issue and Airbus SB A340-27-4167 at original issue and Airbus SB A340-27-5053 at original issue.
