CAA-2006-11-004C(已有後續修訂版)

The aircraft owner or operator shall comply with Airworthiness Directives issued by the CAA or the aeronautics authority of the State of Design (SoD) of the aviation products, appliances and parts, and take all necessary actions thereto.

Issue Date

Applicability
This Airworthiness Directive is applicable to all Embraer ERJ 190 aircraft models in operation and equipped with low pressure check valves (LPCV) Hamilton Sundstrand part number (P/N) 1001447-3 or P/N 1001447-4.

Original AD Number

Effective Date
2008/11/25
Subject
It was found the occurrence of an engine in-flight shutdown caused by the LPCV P/N 1001447-3 failing to close due to excessive wear, which leads to the concern that such fault may be present in both engines of a given aircraft. It has been also found cracks in the LPCV P/N 1001447-4 due to low cycle fatigue. These cracks may be present in both LPCV of the same aircraft and may cause an in flight shut down (IFSD) in both engines of the aircraft. Since this condition may occur in other airplanes of the same type and affects flight safety, a corrective action is required. Thus, sufficient reason exists to request compliance with this AD in the indicated time limit.
