Supervision Unit - Aviation Police Office (APO)

The responsibilities of the Aviation Police Office are to maintain order and public security for aviation business at civilian airports. The APO was established under the National Police Administration, Ministry of the Interior. The organization of the APO is completely independent. The APO performs tasks authorized by the CAA, and is under the command and supervision of the CAA.

APO headquarters are located at Taoyuan International Airport in Taoyuan County. There are branch offices located at Sungshan and Kaohsiung Airports and branch stations located at Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, Hualien, Taitung, Green Island, Lanyu, Makung, Wangan, Cimei, Chinmen, and Pingtung Airports. A service division is located at Matsu/Beigan Airport.

The duties of the Aviation Police Office are to serve passengers, airlines, and employees of public and private organizations that are located at or near the airports. All airports continue to maintain a good security record due to the hard work of the police force. Various organizations of the APO inspect passengers and goods in accordance with relevant regulations.
